The Messiness Mentor

Most experts teach you how to organize your life.

Lisa teaches you how to thrive when life refuses to stay organized.

I did not arrive here by following a straight line.

My life has been full of beautiful chapters, hard chapters, unexpected turns, brave decisions, and plenty of moments where I had to stop and ask, “Who am I now?”

I got married young, became a mom, raised three children, walked through divorce after eighteen years of marriage, and then, sixteen years later, remarried the love of my life. Today, our family has grown to include amazing spouses, six grandchildren, a lot of laughter, a little chaos, and two very loved dogs, Bruno and Bella.

That is the beautiful part.

But like most people, I have also lived through chapters that did not look beautiful while I was in them.

I have loved someone through addiction. I have felt the heartbreak of watching someone I care about struggle and knowing

I could not fix it for them.

I lost my mom suddenly and found her after she had passed. That kind of grief does not ask permission before it changes you.

I have wrestled with anxiety and panic attacks. I have had seasons where I looked capable on the outside but felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure on the inside.

I have built businesses, led teams, taken risks, opened a franchise during one of the most uncertain seasons in modern history, and closed it three years later carrying nearly half a million dollars in debt. I know what it feels like to give something everything you have and still have to let it go.

So when I talk about change, fear, identity, purpose, grief, courage, letting go,

and the messy middle of life, I am not speaking from theory.

I am speaking from

lived experience.

But this is not a story about staying stuck.

It is a story about learning how to move forward when life does not go according to plan.

It is about realizing that you can be grateful and grieving at the same time. Strong and tired. Hopeful and uncertain. Proud of how far you have come and still honest about what you are working through.

That is the messy middle.

And I believe the messy middle is where so much of our becoming actually happens.

Over the years, I have learned this:

You are not starting over.

You are sorting through what still fits.

WHY PEOPLE FOLLOW LISA

Because she's not teaching theory. She's teaching experience.

  • The real stuff.

  • The setbacks.

  • The reinventions.

  • The moments nobody posts on social media.

  • And the breakthroughs that come afterward.

She helps people turn real-life mess, transition, and uncertainty into clarity, meaning, and forward movement.

MY MISSION

To create a world where people stop seeing life's messiest moments as failures and start seeing them as invitations.

Because the next version of you is often hiding inside the chapter you're trying to escape.

That belief became the heart of my book,

The Sock Drawer Philosophy, and the foundation for The DRAWER Method™ — a simple first-step framework I created to help people move through whatever they are facing.

Decide

Decide to move forward

Remove

Remove the biggest obstacle

Apply

Apply what you know

Wobble

Wobble forward

Evaluate

Evaluate where you are

Repeat

Repeat the steps

The first step in any change is deciding you are no longer willing to stay where you are.

Then you begin removing what is in the way: fear, negativity, shame, old stories, imposter thinking, or whatever keeps whispering that you cannot move forward.

Life Doesn't Have to Be Perfect to Be Extraordinary. Most people spend years waiting for the right time. The right opportunity. The right circumstances. The right version of themselves.

But life doesn't work that way.

The people who create meaningful lives learn how to move forward before they have all the answers. That's what this community is about. Learning to embrace uncertainty, navigate change, and build a life you're proud of one imperfect step at a time.

THE MESSINESS MENTOR™

Helping people stop seeing life's messy moments as setbacks and start seeing them as the beginning of something greater. Because your next chapter isn't waiting for perfect. It's waiting for you.
